Fellowship Proposal Process
Rather than require the submission of detailed and lengthy applications, we have designed a two-phase proposal process.
In the first (developmental) phase, we ask interested parties to submit a Statement of Interest (see guidelines). Upon review, the most promising Statements will be entered into a brainstorming process, one that might focus upon identifying potential collaborators, designing project components, and/or clarifying the experimental, border-crossing and transformative ambitions of the proposed fellowship.
In the wake of this first, developmental phase, we will determine whether the proposal should move on to the second (evaluative) phase. In this phase, applications will be judged on the basis of the experimental nature and transformative promise of the collaboration including the full range of required fellowship components: experimental and border-crossing project design; vetted collaborators; compelling pedagogical component; viable possibilities for public presentation and dissemination; as well as the potential for powerfully impacting the University beyond the limits of any single department.
