Explorations & Incubators
Typically the process of pursuing a Gray Center fellowship begins with a short exploratory visit from a potential collaborator or set of collaborators. This exploratory visit (which could last anywhere from a few days to a week) provides an opportunity for the invited guest(s) to engage in informal conversations with faculty from a range of departments and leaders from various campus centers, exploring topics of mutual interest. These conversations may or may not result in a commitment to apply for a collaborative fellowship. If they do, then the proposal would move through the normal channels of the Center’s fellowship evaluation process.
