The first part of an Afrofuturism symposium organized and moderated by Ytasha Womack, author of Afrofuturism: The World of Black Sci-Fi and Fantasy Culture, and architect Antwane Lee. This evening’s panel includes comic book expert Stanford W. Carpenter, and scholars from the Oriental Institute, Brian Muhs, Tasha Vorderstrasse and Bruce Williams.
