MAKING A (RE)ENTRANCE PART II: storytime

 Mar 13, 2014, 2:00 AM – 4:00 AM
Gray Center Lab in Midway Studios, 929 E. 60th St., Chicago, IL 60637

This two-quarter performance series brings together ex-offenders living at the Crossroads Adult Transition Center with students and staff from the University of Chicago in a whimsical evening of theater, music and food. Storytime explores the status of entrances and re-entrances - both on stage and in society - while radicalizing the aesthetic and social parameters of civically-engaged performance. The evening will consist of a short workshop performance followed by a round-table conversation with guest respondents from Chicago's theater and social justice communities and moderated by Christopher Skrabel, Associate Director for Community-Based Research and Experiential Learning at the University Community Service Center. Directed by Adi Barak and Amy Stebbins.
