James Franco and Travis Mathews’ Interior. Leather Bar is placed in conversation with Chris Vargas and Greg Youmans’ Work of Art! Reality TV Special in this forum for new forms of queer collaboration on screen.  Using creative re-interpretation (Franco & Mathews, the 1980 film Cruising; Vargas & Youmans, the Bravo TV show Work of Art), each work proposes to reimagine cultural representations of (potential) queerness – and raises questions about spectatorship, spectacle, authorship and authority.  Please note: Interior.
