Never The Same: Summer Symposium on Grassroots Archiving

 Jun 07, 2013, 7:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th Street, Chicago, IL 60637

Artist and activists have increasingly taken to creating their own archives independent of major institutional affiliation or support. This gathering brings together some very new and significantly established examples of this work from across North America and pairs them with exciting practices happening in Chicago. Fundamental motives, issues and concerns emerging from these inspiring models will be discussed in this day-long forum.  Free and open to the public.

This symposium is part of the Never the Same Mellon Fellowship in Arts Practice & Scholarship.
